Vale Shirley Carter

Shirley Carter, a long-time member and generous supporter of Friends of the Benalla Library, was with our push for the new Library all the way.
Born in 1921, Shirley's memories were wonderful, including her having met Mary Grant Bruce. Shirley died on December 27th 2017. There will be a memorial service later this month.
In the top left photo, Shirley is with Sue Ellen Blundell, our much loved librarian who also died recently. Shirley was expressing the thought that she didn't really need to be in the photo. On the top right she is sharing something amusing with Jeff Oliver.
